Samye monastery on the other side of the Sangpo river where Tibetan Buddhismen was rooted and established in the 7th century. In East lights the luxuriant Kham region with many Villages and idyllic scenery and to the west Shigatse with Tashilungpo and the sacred mountain Kailash.

Day 1 Arriving in Lhasa relaxing at Hotel and Sight seing
Day 2 Visit Jokhang tempel after breakfast and the Potala Palce after lunch
Day 3 From Ganden Monastery to the Dupshi village hiking to Ani Pangong (former nunnery)
Day 4 Ye-dropka through pristine meadows via Yama Do.
Day 5 Yama Do & Tsotup Chu Valley. Along the Shug-La Pass (17,220 feet) crossing the Tsotup Chu
Day 6 From the Tsotup Chu Valley and over the Chitu-La Pass (16,728 feet).
Day 7 Yamalung Herder's Camp, through meadows before reaching Gen Do, the village of Chantan and into the Yamalung Valley.
